Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni has tasked Muslim faithful to take the lessons of sacrifice, care and compassion exhibited during the fasting period beyond the Ramadan season.
Buni in a Sallah message through his Director General Press and Media Affairs, Mamman Mohammed, also enjoined the Muslims to extend the spirit of the season to their neighbours. 'As we celebrate the Eid-el-fitr, marking the end of the one month religious obligation, l enjoin us all to take the lessons of sacrifice, care and compassion exhibited during the fasting period beyond the Ramadan season.
He commended security agencies for their contributions to peace and stability of the state, and reminded the people to continue praying for the unity, peace, security and prosperity of the entire country. The governor said government would this year launch a programme to facilitate agricultural revolution in Yobe State to enhance food sufficiency and security.
