Tajuddin says he will not represent another party in state polls despite six-year Umno suspension

PASIR SALAK: Former Pasir Salak MP Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman has no intention of representing another party in the upcoming six state elections.

The former Umno supreme council member even said that if his suspension as an Umno member is retracted, he would help the party machinery in the polls.

"If I am no longer suspended by Umno, of course I will campaign and work for the party. If possible, I don't want to be with other parties," he told the media at his Raya Open House here on Sunday .The Umno supreme council decided to suspend his membership in October 2022. On Saturday , Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said Tajuddin's appeal would be referred to the supreme council.

Meanwhile, Tajuddin said hoped his appeal would considered, adding that he loves the party and wanted to settle the issue amicably."The only mistake I made was being too vocal on party issues," he said. However, Tajuddin said he was prepared to face any possibility and would not give up in the political struggle and would try to be active on social media. – Bernama
