The Kano State Hisbah Board has declared Auwal Sankara, the suspended Jigawa Commissioner of Special Duties, wanted for failing to attend a scheduled reconciliation meeting.
“Sankara was granted bail on the condition that he would present himself before the board whenever summoned. However, despite being invited today, he refused to comply,” Daurawa explained. Daurawa indicated that Hisbah's goal was to settle the matter amicably without resorting to legal proceedings. The situation originated from a controversial incident where Sankara and a woman were arrested together.
