No fewer than 18 persons including children have been killed by suspected Fulani armed herdsmen who invaded four communities in the Guma Local Government Area of Benue State. The herdsmen also injured many villagers during the attack on the communities on Thursday. The Chairman of Guma LGA, Mike Ubah, confirmed the attack. He identified one of the victims as Mr Ikpuku Jembe I Nyev, the Ortese youth leader.

"They didn’t stop at that point but went to three villages/settlements around and killed another eight making it a total of 18. Ten at the market, eight in the villages when they were returning.
