Suspected cultists have killed a former chapter Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Ekpenyong Okom, and two others.

It was gathered that the victim was allegedly killed on Saturday at about 8pm at a pub along Akai Efa in Calabar Municipal Council in Cross River State.

The Security Adviser to Governor Ben Ayade in the Southern Senatorial District, Mr Ani Esin, confirmed the incident. “The victim was a former chapter chairman of the PDP in Odukpani, in the Odukpani Local Government Area of the state. He was murdered on Saturday by 8pm.and was gunned down by suspected members ofIt was gathered that two other victims were killed on Friday morning and evening by suspected cultists.

The first incident happened at about 7am when the suspected cultist was shot dead, while at 8pm same day another suspected cultist was killed. The state Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Irene Ugbo, did not pick her calls and did not respond to a text message sent to her.All rights reserved.
