Nigeria’s Supreme Court on Tuesday adjourned hearing on the application filed by the sacked governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha.Ihedioha is challenging the judgement of the apex court order that sacked him as the governor of the state.
Counsel to Ihedioha and the People’s Democratic Party , Kanu Agabi asked for an adjournment to enable the parties to conclude on the processes that are being filed and served. Counsel to Imo State governor Hope Uzodinma and the All Progressives Congress , Damian Dodo did not oppose the application. Ihedioha and the PDP had in an application dated February 5, 2020, and brought through his counsel, Kanu Agabi asked the apex court to set aside its judgement of January 14, which nullified his victory in the March 9, 2019 election and declared APC’s Uzodinma of the APC winner of the election after he presented excluded results from 388 polling units.
