Mr Dangiwa said N50 billion will be used to transform the slums and another N50 billion will be spent on the construction of housing estates across the federation.
The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Dangiwa, on Wednesday said a total sum of N50 billion will be used to transform slum communities across the country into developed areas.
Mr Dangiwa disclosed this when he appeared before the Senate Committee on Appropriation chaired by Adeola Olamilekan to defend the allocation to his ministry in the 2023 supplementary budget. The minister assured that all the funds budgeted for the construction of housing in the budget will be used expeditiously for the construction of housing estates across the country.
