The Nigerian Government has said that popular Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho, is trying escape the country and is currently acquirimg a new passport.
Igboho was declared wanted by the DSS on allegations of stockpiling arms to destabilise the country, which he has since denied, but his whereabouts remain unknown. The NIS letter titled ‘Stop-listing of person: Adeyemo Sunday Adeniyi , male, Nigerian, passport number A11613637, date of birth 10/10/1972’ was signed by Assistant Comptroller General of Immigration, Investigation and Compliance, A.B. Baba, on behalf of the Comptroller General and was copied to all zonal controllers and control posts nationwide.
