A lady suspected to be a student of a polytechnic in Delta State has attempted suicide by jumping from the Oghara-Benin Bridge into the river.
The motorists also reportedly called the Divisional Police Officer, Oghara, who mobilised men to the scene.
It was gathered that the undergraduate was rescued alive and rushed to the Oghara Teaching Hospital for medical attention. However, the reason for the lady’s action could not be ascertained as of the time of filing this report. The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, could not be reached for comments on the incident as of the time of filing this report.All rights reserved.
