Recall that Nigerian students in the war-torn region called on the federal government to evacuate them. The development had generated reactions as many faulted the government’s approach to the matter, but the presidency said the situation had given the Nigerian government sleepless nights.He wrote, “The Nigerian Embassy in Khartoum has, again, called for calm and asked students and other Nigerians living in Sudan to remain indoors as they are working on getting the final approval from the Sudanese authorities to commence their evacuation.
