Ademola Adeleke, governor of Osun, says plans are underway to provide palliatives for residents to cushion the effect of petrol subsidy removal.

Adeleke said the palliatives will ease the hardship caused by the petrol subsidy removal, adding that his administration has been working in line with “election promises and the agenda of the party”.“We will soon introduce public transport buses. We are working on adjusted work hours and days. We want to make life easy and enjoyable for our people,” the governor was quoted as saying.

“We will all be accommodated. We will be fair to all. I appreciate your support then and now. This is your government. We shall all realise the fruits of our labour,” he said.While detailing projects and interventions in health, education and public infrastructure renewal by his administration, Adeleke claimed that the PDP-led government in the state has achieved more since it assumed office.

“We have positioned the public service, built roads, bridges and channelisation. We have commenced payment of salary and pension debt.
