The College prepared its students by creating a culture of academic excellence, intellectual curiosity and high expectations IGCSE RecordBreaker Exams Students
Year 11 students of Rainbow College have set a new national record in the recently concluded Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education Examinations.
The students performed admirably to the delight of many with a record-setting performance, including 86 per cent A* – C grades in all nine subjects, with a 90 per cent A* – C grades in Mathematics, English, Physics and 100 per cent A* – C grades in Additional Mathematics. The IGCSE Examinations is a two-year programme, externally set, marked and certificated examinations from the University of Cambridge. Any student who takes an IGCSE subject will be gaining a qualification that is recognised globally.
The College prepared its students by creating a culture of academic excellence, intellectual curiosity and high expectations. The result is a testament of honest endeavour and deep commitment to extremely high standards of achievement despite the new style IGCSEs, which have been designed to be academically more demanding and more stretching.
According to Dr. Oduwole Olayinka, Director of Studies in the school, “Following on our outstanding WAEC results where our students scored 99 percent A1-C6, we are extremely proud to share these students’ outstanding achievements in IGCSE and congratulate them as well as their selfless parents on this huge and very well-deserved success. Our pupils and teachers have worked very hard to achieve these results.
