Tropical Depression Lannie maintained its strength as it moved over the Sulu Sea.
In its 11 p.m. update, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration said the center of the storm was last seen 120 kilometers south-southeast of Cuyo, Palawan. It kept its maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 55 kph.
PAGASA said the tropical depression is expected to bring moderate to heavy rains over Western Visayas, Caraga, and Mimaropa. It added that"Lannie" will likely be out of the Philippine area of responsibility by Wednesday evening.Meanwhile, continuous rains in Cebu province have triggered several landslides, rendering some roads impassable.
