Market activities at the close of the week ended moderately bullish as market capitalisation hit N28.647tn as of January 19, against N28.602tn recorded as of January 13, 2023.
Trading in the top three equities namely Veritas Kapital Assurance Plc, Sterling Bank Plc, and Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc, accounted for 605.879 million shares worth N2.120bn in 1,631 deals, contributing 48.82 per cent and 13.53 per cent to the total equity turnover volume and value respectively.30 equities depreciated at a price higher than 27 in the previous week, while 88 equities remained unchanged, higher than 79 equities recorded in the previous week.
International Energy Insurance Plc topped the gainers’ chart for the week with 28.95 per cent from N0.38 kobo per share to close at N0.49 kobo per share while MRS Oil Nigeria Plc followed closely with a gain of N1.90 kobo to close at N16.00 kobo per share. Also, Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc grew by 12.86 per cent to close at N7.90 kobo per share, Sunu Assurances Nigeria Plc followed with 12.12 per cent to close at N0.37 kobo per share and Abbey Mortgage Bank completes the top five with 9.80 per cent from N1.68 kobo per share.All rights reserved.
