Starbucks has announced it will be closing one of its UK stores by the end of the month - much to the disappointment of local shoppers
Costa Coffee has seen several of its cafes shut down this year, including a branch in Inverness, Scotland, that closed its doors back in July. Starbucks is set to follow Costa's lead by closing one of its popular branches in England later this month.
Patrons have lauded the "extremely nice staff" at the Witney store, with many self-professed "regulars" sharing their positive experiences in Google reviews, reports the Express. Starbucks confirmed the impending closure with a notice posted on the door of the Woolgate Centre cafe. While some locals speculate that Starbucks might relocate to the former Costa Coffee spot on Welch Way, which is currently empty, the company has stated there are no plans to open a new store there.
