KOTA KINABALU: Beberapa jam selepas Presiden STAR, Jeffrey Kitingan, umum akan menyokong calon tunggal mewakili Gabungan Rakyat Sabah, parti itu menerima penyertaan calon Bebas di DUN Inanam, Kenny Chua, sebagai ahli baharu, membuka satu lagi pertembungan dengan sekutunya, PBS.

"Sekiranya saya memenangi kerusi DUN Inanam, ia akan menjadi milik STAR," katanya kepada pemberita selepas majlis. Bekas naib pengerusi PKR ini akui Inanam "memang untuk PBS", tetapi beliau terpaksa bertanding kerana tiada pilihan. "Mereka mungkir janji, dan saya berjuang sendirian."
