South-South stakeholders have decried the recent comments by former Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar , on the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Railway and the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway approved by the Federal Government . Atiku is quoted to have queried the government's decision to start the coastal projects.
' He said a cursory and deep reading of Atiku's statement reveals that he is vehemently opposed to these two projects. According to him, Atiku is using politics to sabotage the two well-conceived projects that can transform the Southern region in particular and Nigeria in general.
