In a bid to inspire children and young people to consider careers in the aviation industry, South African Airways has reiterated its commitment to empower and provide them with essential knowledge.

The Country Manager of SAA, Kemi Leke-Bamtefa, stated this during the inaugural SAA Aviation Career Day in commemoration of the Children’s Day in Lagos.

Leke-Bamtefa said, “Children, today we celebrate you, recognising your value and contributions to our society. We promise to include you in our journey towards sustainability. As part of our efforts to empower our children, we have initiated the SAA secondary school essay competition, and now we proudly present the maiden edition of the SAA Aviation Career Day for children in Nigeria.”

According to her, the objective of the event was to encourage children and young people to feel secure and understand their significant roles in building a greater Africa., the airline expressed its resolve to improve children’s access to resources and transform their mindset, beliefs, values, and attitudes.
