The Sokoto State Government has pledged to sustain budgetary measures towards promoting child-sensitive governance in the state.
Sokoto State governor Dr Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto visits the burnt house of former president Shehu Shagari's alongside APC leader in the State, Sen. Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, Speaker, Sokoto State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Tukur Bala Bodinga, his Deputy, Kabiru Kware, State APC Chairmam, Isa Saddiq Achida,Secretary to the State Government, Muhammad Bello Sifawa, members of the State Executive Council, Special Advisers and Special Assistants, among others.
At the dialogue organised by UNICEF for Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara States, Gobir said that the Gov. Ahmed Aliyu-led government was fully committed to the welfare of the people. “The wellbeing of the people remains top on the priority list of the current administration, we are committed to transparency and accountability in handling public funds,” he said.
Gobir said that the government had increased the monthly cash allowances to physically challenged people in the state.
