KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 31 — The Human Resources Ministry through the Social Security Organisation will enforce a new monthly salary ceiling limit for contribution purposes from September 1.
He said the increase follows the amendment of the Employees Social Security Act 1969 and the Employment Insurance System Act 2017 which involved increasing the salary ceiling limit for contribution purposes from RM4,000 to RM5,000 per month. “The benefits include Temporary Disability Benefit, Permanent Disability Benefit, Dependent’s Benefit, Survivor’s Pension and Invalidity Pension under Act 4 as well as Job Search Allowance , Reduced Income Allowance and Early Re-employment Allowance under Act 800.
Mohammed Azman said the contribution payment should be made by the employer according to the new salary ceiling limit amendment for this September and onwards.
