A legal practitioner and social critic, Inibehe Effiong has slammed President Bola Tinubu over a long motorcade that followed him when he arrived in
Effiong claimed that Tinubu should have insisted on reducing the vehicles, noting that the action was “a reminder that the political class is not ready to make the sacrifices which they expect from citizens”.
However, the President’s arrival quickly became a spectacle of some sort with long convoy that accompanied him to his private residence. But in a statement via his verified Twitter handle on Wednesday, Effiong alleged that fuel subsidy was removed to save cost, but limited resources were being wasted on frivolity.
