A six-year-old girl, who is the daughter of the index Coronavirus case in Kazaure Local Government Area of Jigawa State, has been tested positive for the virus.
Commissioner for Health and Chairman of State Task Force on COVID-19, Dr Abba Zakari, made this known in Dutse, the state capital. He said the girl would soon join her father at the state’s isolation centre, adding that 32 new cases have been confirmed in Jigawa. According to the latest statistics released by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, Jigawa State has 39 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with one death recorded.
