Sit-at-Home Order: Ebonyi Police Begin Manhunt For IPOB Members Who Burnt Commuter Buses, Motorcycles

An eyewitness, who spoke to LEADERSHIP on ground of anonymity, said that the suspected gunmen carried out the attack while enforcing the illegal Monday

sit-at-home order, adding that the attack disrupted both vehicular and human movements along the ever-busy Abakaliki-Enugu expressway.The eyewitness noted that the hoodlums targeted motorists and that they took time to set ablaze vehicles and motorcycles while terrified residents scampered for safety.

The eyewitness further revealed that the incident took place at about 8am on the Monday morning, adding that the hoodlums were bearing sophisticated weapons and we’re shooting sporadically into the air to scare away residents of the area who were already out for their daily activities.
