INEOS founder Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim are the two frontrunners to purchase the Premier League club from the much-maligned Glazer family.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe is preparing a "restructured" offer to speed up the takeover process at Manchester United.
Proposals headed up by Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe - via his INEOS company - have yet to be accepted by the Glazer family. It's understood current offers are worth over £5billion.ALSO READ: How United should line-up in Carabao Cup third round tie British billionaire Sir Jim shared a fresh update on his takeover proposal in a rare interview this month. The 70-year-old told INEOS.TV: "The Manchester United bid would have been unthinkable two or three years ago if we hadn't had some of the experiences - some quite difficult experiences with Lausanne and Nice."
According to the Bloomberg reports, the Failsworth-born businessman - who grew up supporting United - is now ready to submit a sixth bid to the Glazer family. The report argues Sir Jim is working with advisers in an attempt to address concerns over "complexities" in his previous offer.
