The news comes less than two weeks after the singer announced her punk-rock album, “If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power” , which she called “a concept album about the joys and horrors of pregnancy and childbirth.” The NSFW cover art features a breast-baring Halsey holding a baby in a Renaissance-themed background.This cover image celebrates pregnant and postpartum bodies as something beautiful, to be admired.
Halsey first announced her pregnancy in January with a social media post that showed off her baby bump. In the picture, she’s seated, looking off into the distance and wearing a rainbow tube top and a pair of unbuttoned jeans.In a tag over her belly, Halsey tagged Aydin. The rainbow emoji is likely a nod to the fact Halsey suffered a miscarriage while on tour about five years ago. A baby born after a pregnancy loss is commonly referred to as a rainbow baby.Reproductive illness is so frustrating because it can really make you feel less of a woman.
