Tropical cyclone “Dante” has reentered the Philippine area of responsibility as a tropical depression at 4 p.m., Friday, June 4.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Dante was at 210 kilometers west-northwest of Basco, Batanes or 185 km west of Itbayat, Batanes, as of 4 p.m.
From a tropical storm, PAGASA said Dante has weakened into a tropical depression with maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 70 kph. It is moving northeast at 20 kph.PAGASA warned that sea travel remains risky for small seacraft, while it advised mariners without the proper experience to immediately seek safe harbor.
Afterward, Dante will continue to move northeastward towards the East China Sea and will be outside the PAR by Saturday afternoon, June 5.
