The Judge of Court 3, Federal High Court sitting in Kano State, Justice Ameboda, on Thursday, threatened to jail the spokesperson to Kano State Governor, Mr. Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
Journalists, who were at the court proceedings, were astonished as the judge, at the beginning of his sitting, asked if at the courtroom, there was the presence of Bature or his representative, in which the audience answered not in the affirmative.
“I know the governor has immunity, but I have the liberty to jail any of his aides for unguarded utterances against the decision of the court,” said Justice Ameboda. In another proceeding at the State High Court, Justice Amina Adamu Aliyu, ordered all lawyers representing any party in the Kano Emirate suit to desist from granting media interview.
