Shiites in bloody protest

Attempts by supporters of detained Shiite leader Ibrahim El- Zakzaky to overrun the National Assembly turned bloody yesterday.

A source at the clinic said that another policeman who sustained gunshot wounds was transferred to the National Hospital, Abuja. Smashed window glasses and car wind screen, heaps of stone and other missiles further confirmed the mayhem.
