The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Sunday, pleaded with the Nigeria Labour Congress that “it is not the time for strike.”
According to Sanwo-Olu, strike is not the solution to the issue on the ground.
“Strike will not solve anything…the point should be how are we going to ensure that there is a turnaround in our economy. “He has mentioned something around a better wage. We have started that in Lagos. We pride ourselves that we started in January. So, all parts of the country can also do the same. “So, I want to plead with the Nigeria Labour Congress that they shouldn’t turn it into a political thing, because we are beginning to see that. The leadership should know that they are leading a pack of people and they should be able to restrain themselves,” he added.All rights reserved.
