The Clara man will be appearing in his second Ryder Cup after Captain Luke Donald picked him for the side on Monday.
Shane Lowry's appearance in this year's Ryder Cup was confirmed yesterday when Team Europe captain Luke Donald announced that he was selecting Lowry for the squad.
Commenting on his selection, Lowry, who starred in the 2021 Ryder Cup at Whistling Straits, took to 'X' to reveal his excitement at playing in a first Ryder Cup on European soil."Can't wait to play my first home Ryder Cup," wrote Lowry on social media. "The last one hurt a little bit, and I’m excited for a home Ryder Cup. I’m very grateful that Luke has given me the opportunity to go there and show what I can do again."
