Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has said that the death of Hajiya Hadiza Shehu Shagari, wife of former Nigerian President, Shehu Shagari, is a
complications on Thursday.
Reacting, Ortom in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase, described the deceased as a woman of peace who added immense value to her husband’s administration and continued to play a motherly role to the nation till her demise. He sympathized with the government and people of Sokoto State as well as other Nigerians over the loss of the former President’s wife.
Ortom prayed that God will grant the soul of Hajiya Hadiza eternal rest and the entire Shehu Shagari family the strength to bear the loss.
