The Anambra State Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Ify Obinabo, has vowed to do everything possible to rescue the underage
Obinabo, while speaking to journalists in Awka on Wednesday, said before the arrest of the suspects, she had already intimated the state police and the governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, who gave her the directive to rescue the girls, while adopting the strategy used in capturing the said suspect.
She, therefore, noted that with the suspect in custody, finding the girls will be easier, as she’s not giving up on finding them. “We are ready to go as far as sealing off the brothel in order to rescue the kids, give them a better life and reunite them with their families. “At the same time, we appreciate the efforts of the Anambra State Police Command in working closely with the ministry in apprehending the suspects as and when needed,” she added. All rights reserved.
