Seventeen people, including seven with serious injuries, were taken to hospital after a minibus carrying football fans overturned in West Yorkshire. The minibus was involved in a collision with a black Skoda Fabia on the A1 near Pontefract. A third vehicle, a white car, is also believed to have been involved. The minibus was carrying South Shields FC fans returning from a match with Tamworth.

Seventeen people were taken to hospital, including seven with serious injuries, after a minibus carrying football fans overturned in West Yorkshire . Police were called after a collision involving the Iris single decker minibus and a black Skoda Fabia on the A1 near Pontefract on Saturday evening. A third vehicle, a white car, which has not yet been identified, is also thought to have been involved. The minibus was carrying South Shields FC fans returning from a match with Tamworth .
