A seven-year-old boy and a 21-year-old father of two are killed and two others are badly injured in a two-car crash on one of Darwin's major intersections.

Mr Williams had moved to Darwin from Hobart last October to help his younger brother Kyle with his removalist business."His kids love him, everyone took a liking to him as soon as they met him, he's one of them happy-go-lucky boys, no cares in the world."'It's going to be a long investigation'"It's a serious crash. People have died. And it's going to be a long investigation," he said.

The crash remained a crime scene throughout the morning, causing delays as traffic was diverted away from Tiger Brennan Drive — one of the main arterial roads into Darwin. Crews worked to clean up the debris and the SUV's wreckage, and roads reopened just after lunch time. The scene of the deadly accident was the same intersection where three architects were killed after their car was hit by an aviation fire truck in 2011.

NT Police put out a call for Territorians to remain safe on the roads as the NT road toll rose to 13 for 2019, compared to 21 at the same time last year.
