Sally made the announcement while easing restrictions imposed on the country to tackle the spread of COVID-19, Reuters reports. The Senegalese president had placed restriction on religious gathering in March, following the outbreak of COVID-19.However, Sall said the 8 pm to 6 am curfew would be shortened by one hour in the morning and one hour in the evening.
In a nationwide address on Monday, Sally said: “In the best of cases, COVID-19 will continue to circulate in the country until the month of August, or even September. “In this new phase that will last not a few weeks but three or four months, we need to learn to live in the presence of the virus.”
