The senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli has stressed the need for effective policing,
partnering the Nigeria Police to ensure that the welfare of the officers is well enhanced to guarantee a secured environment.
Alli who is the chairman, Senate Committee on INEC and Vice-Chairman, Senate Committee on Customs and member of several other committees, noted that the intervention at the Mokola and Sango Divisional Police Stations would go a long way at improving the working conditions of the officers. According to him, the gesture and his commitment to developing the community should be emulated by other political leaders.
As part of his efforts to support the police force, the lawmaker had donated a borehole to Mokola Divisional Police Station together with a generating set and a 3.5kva Inverter together with Solar panels and other accessories to Sango Divisional Police Station. According to him, this gesture is not only a testament to commitment to developing his community but also appreciation for the role of the police in ensuring the safety and security of citizens.
