Abia senator, Darlington Nwokocha, had complained that Mr Keyamo violated the constitution in the past by ignoring summons from the two chambers of the National Assembly during the implementation of the Special Works Programme of the federal government.

Senate creates additional Standing CommitteesThe Senate is set to increase the number of its Standing Committee, it has emerged. This was disclosed by the Leader of the Senate, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, who at plenary after the conclusion of the days ministerial screening raised a point of order on the need to amend the Standing Orders of the Senate. The amendment sought to enable the Senate expand the number of its Standing Committees.
