Sen. Abaribe wins at tribunal
The All Progressive Grand Alliance and its candidate, Mr Chris Nkwonta, had approached the court to nullify the declaration of the Abaribe of the Peoples Democratic Party as winner of the Feb. 23 poll on the ground that it was marred with irregularities.
Delivering the judgement, a member of the three member panel, Justice Wasiu Animahun faulted the decision of the petitioners to rely on card reader accreditation. Dismissing the petition for lack of merit, the tribunal held that the petitioners failed to prove their allegation of irregularities.
