Security: Makinde hails police, donates operational vehicles

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Wednesday, lauded the Nigeria Police Force for their efforts in keeping the peace in the state and across the country.

He stated this while receiving the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 11, comprising Oyo and Osun states, AIG Fred Ikokotu, who paid him a courtesy visit at the Governor’s Office, Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan.

He equally assured that the state would support the police to maintain peaceful coexistence in the Oyo-Osun boundary axis, while a peaceful resolution would also be sought on the boundary dispute between the two states. “I want to welcome the AIG to this state. I also want to appreciate the CP, Johnson Adenola, for the good work you and your team are doing in the state.“We have been very lucky here in Oyo State. Our service commanders, especially the Police, are in the forefront of everything that has to do with internal security.

“You said we should support the command because of what you are doing between the boundaries of Oyo and Osun states. We will give you what we have today, not tomorrow.
