Former PDP chairman Uche Secondus commends Governor Fubara's leadership and projects, urging citizens to embrace unity for progress.

Former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ), Uche Secondus , has expressed unwavering support for Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara , urging him to remain resilient in the face of political opposition. Speaking at the commissioning of the Bori Town Internal Roads project in Khana Local Government Area, Secondus praised Fubara’s leadership qualities, describing him as a man of humility, integrity, and sacrifice.

He commended the governor’s efforts in transforming Bori Town through his Urban Renewal Policy, which aims to develop key cities across the state. ‘For my people, this road is a blessing we must own and maintain. It shows what leadership rooted in humility and respect for elders can achieve,’ Secondus said. He emphasized that Fubara’s calm yet resolute approach to governance proves his ability to lead, even under pressure. Secondus reassured Fubara of victory over his adversaries, adding, ‘Be strong and courageous. You will overcome your enemies. Power comes from God, and He has entrusted you with this mandate. The love and respect you show for the people will always stand as your testament.’ Governor Fubara, in his remarks, reaffirmed his commitment to the development of the Rivers South-East Senatorial District. He highlighted the completion of 14 kilometres of roads spanning 23 streets in Bori Town as just the first phase of a broader plan for urban transformation. ‘This project isn’t about who started it; it’s about the people of Khana and the future of this Senatorial District. We are laying the foundation for sustainable growth, and I assure you, the second phase is on the way,’ Fubara said. The governor also addressed the importance of unity and collaboration, urging the people to welcome and accommodate others, as collective efforts are key to achieving lasting development. ‘Development thrives when people come together. Let us embrace unity and openness for the progress of our communities,’ he added
