Erstwhile Chairman of Social Democratic Party in Osun State, Dr Bayo Faforiji, on Tuesday, led his faction of the party to join the Peoples Democratic Party.
A statement by Sola Ayandinrin, the protem Secretary of Kosemani Group, as the defectors were called, said the former SDP members were received by the acting Osun PDP chairman, Sunday Akanfe, in Ede.
The statement said with the group’s return to the PDP, the journey to reclaim Osun State from the ruling All Progressives Congress had started. Receiving the defectors, the Osun PDP acting Chairman, Sunday Akanfe, commended the group for joining the party and assured them of full cooperation in a bid to strengthen the party for future challenges.All rights reserved.
