Many people are feared killed with dozens of vehicles razed during an oil pipeline explosion in Ijegun, a suburb of Lagos.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, , confirmed the incident saying it occurred when security operatives intercepted the suspected vandals who were engaged in illegal scooping of petroleum product from the ruptured Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation pipeline in the area. “The vandals had already siphoned petrol into a 33,000litre tanker,. While a second tanker of the same capacity was being loaded, security agencies suddenly intercepted the vandals.
