KUCHING: Sarawak will host a global congress on primate research and conservation in August.

The seven-day Joint Meeting of the International Primatological Society -Malaysian Primatological Society 2023 will take place at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching from Aug 19.

"We hope to showcase research and conservation initiatives on wild primates around Malaysia and the region and share findings with our international colleagues," he said in a statement Friday . "We are excited to bring this congress to Sarawak as it will help create more awareness of our efforts in the conservation of primates," he added.
