Sanwo-Olu, nonetheless, commended officers and men of the Nigerian Army for the role they were already playing in the securing the lives and property of Nigerians. “It is only when the country is safe and secure that foreign direct investments will come in, and we citizens will be able to go about our lawful businesses and, create wealth and development,” Sanwo-Olu said. While stating that the contributions of the army to security in the country were not being taken for granted, he encouraged the officers and men to continue their selfless service to their fatherland.
“As a government, we are willing and able to support the military and all the security formations in whatever area or form,” he said.
