Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has approved an increment of 100 per cent on bursary payable to the students of Lagos State origin in
The increment according to the state government would take effect from 2022/ 2023 academic session.
Executive Secretary, Lagos State Scholarship Board, Mr Abdur Rahaman Lekki dropped the hints at the weekend during a meeting with representatives of the National Association of Nigerian Students Lagos State Chapter, and National Union of Lagos State Students at the Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja. The meeting which was held at the instance of the special adviser to Governor Sanwo- Olu on Education, Tokunbo Wahab had in attendance, presidents and some executive members of both the two students union bodies NANS and NULAS and representatives of the state government.
The100 per cent bursary increment and other benefits according to the board secretary were aimed at supporting the educational needs of students of Lagos State origin to let them cope with the present economic reality.
