Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos, says the Blue rail line has transported over 75,000 people in over 350 trips since it started operations.Abimbola Akinajo, the manager of Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority , had said passenger operations would start with 12 trips for two weeks and would increase to 76 trips per day.on Thursday, Sanwo-Olu said over 3.8 million Lagosians have collected the rail’s “Cowry cards”.

“With over 3.8 million Cowry cards collected so far, we are proud to say a greater Lagos is indeed rising.“Join us as we plan to increase the frequency of the trains and to move more people through our city in a safer, faster, efficient and more affordable way.”
