Samuel Umtiti takes decision on leaving Barcelona for Arsenal
Samuel Umtiti has decided to stay at Barcelona despite strong interest from Arsenal, Marca reports.
The World Cup winner has suffered a persistent knee injury in recent months and has fallen down the pecking order at the Nou Camp as a result. In his absence, Clement Lenglet has stepped up to the plate and is now Ernesto Valverde’s preferred partner to Gerard Pique.The Gunners have enjoyed a productive season under the new boss, Unai Emery and are in contention to qualify for the Champions League.
But it is believed that regardless of Arsenal’s status next season, the centre-back wants to stay at Barcelona.
