KOTA KINABALU: A man who collapsed during a 10km race in the Borneo International Marathon (BIM) here on Sunday (April 28), was declared dead on arrival at Hospital Queen Elizabeth 2.
Kota Kinabalu police chief Asst Comm Habibi Majinji said the victim and his family travelled from Kota Belud to participate in the run.ACP Habibi said Bitah was sent to Hospital Queen Elizabeth 2 at 8.58am and was pronounced dead by medical personnel there.
His body was then taken to Hospital Queen Elizabeth 1 for a post-mortem to ascertain the cause of death.
