The NFF also gave Rohr the condition of winning the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations and qualifying for the 2022 World Cup., Bello Olabanji asked the NFF to give Rohr a free hand to operate while in charge.
“Thanks for giving Rohr another chance despite the stringent clauses in the contract. However, it’s high time the NFF left the coach to his job. You guys should stop influencing Rohr’s decision on which player to select. Let him work free-handedly, so we get to assess him after,” he wrote.
With one of the conditions given Rohr by the NFF being to live in Nigeria and watch the Nigeria Professional Football League, as well as invite more home-based players to the national team, Ibby Akhai asked the NFF to build the league. “This is commendable. But can we really move forward without a standard and well funded Nigeria Professional Football League? Kindly do something about our local league. Thank you,” he added.Muhammad Sani also hailed Rohr for staying with the Eagles despite reported tough conditions included in his new contract.
“If not for Rohr’s commitment to our Super Eagles, he wouldn’t have been here, you wanted to push him away but to your surprise he accepted all the conditions you put on. Shame on you,” he said. “I am so glad superior wisdom prevailed!! Rohr truly sacrificed in his acceptance of this stringent contract. He alone knows why. Wishing him the best of luck,” @Ceeteeonyema also added.
