Vice President Leni Robredo says she is open to reviewing the K-12 Basic Education Program to determine gaps in its implementation.
” Robredo said.
[Translation: We saw in some places where, for example, electronics is being taught without the proper equipment, so students don’t learn hands on. So if that’s the problem, students will find it hard to find jobs because they are not ready.] She said the K-12 program was designed so the country can catch up with other countries where basic and secondary education ran for 12 years.
The House of Representatives plans to review the status of programs and policies under the Education department's K-to-12 program so that its achievements and challenges can be identified.
